I am new to this forum. I have a 1996 T100 3.4 with the auto shift 4WD. It is not engaging to 4wd. I have been able to disconnect one of the vacuum lines on the accuator and get it to engage, but as soon as I take it out of 4wd it won't go back until I repeat that process.

I have check my solenoid assembly and I am suspicious of that. The solenoid that is farthest from the front seems to be shutting on and off when I shift between 2 and 4 wd. The front solenoid seems to be having a constant vacuum in either mode.

I am checking vacuum at the connection where it goes down to the accuator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
