3.slooo actually, I am ok with it. Headers may be in my future. I use Seafoam every 10-15K miles it seems to love the stuff. I'd never heard of Seafoam until I came to Yotatech...thanks guys. The first time I tried it was around 85-90K miles. Dark grey smoke came out for the first 2-3 seconds, then all white smoke so I'm pretty sure there was carbon buildup in there. Now whenever I use Seafoam, the smoke is almost always pure white. Also per Yotatech, I cleaned out the throttle-body with Seafoam & a toothbrush and noticed a much steadier, calmer idle. One of the first cheap mods I did was the airbox holes, drilled out around 90K. I'd been driving it for 20K miles or so, and I DID feel a small but noticeable improvement in low-end power and about a 1mpg improvement in gas mileage. So I think it was worth it, but then again, it could be attributed to the seafoam & new plugs. I get a steady 19-20mpg with 112K miles on her. 22-25 mpg on the highway when I take out all the crap I have stored in the back of her. Oil is changed regularly (synthetic 5W-30 or 5W-40 only) and only Bosch or Toyota or Purolator oil filters (NEVER fram!) I may invest in a K&N air filter but I'd rather find a Trueflow (sp?) or uh, I forgot the name... air filter.
