I bought this Runner up in Portland, OR with 68K on the Odometer back in early 2007. I bought it from my aunt who rarely drove it because of the gas mileage (she has a Camry hybrid) so it spent most of its time in her heated garage. She would drive it in the rain/snow but she also installed the aftermarket stereo & speakers (with remote control) as well as the ProLock anti theft device and front bug guard. $6,000. The tires were new, the brakes good, and the battery fresh. She bought and never used a pair of heavy-duty tire chains so I'm stuck with the 10x31.5s. She did a nice job with upkeep, but it needed a good cleaning & hand wax. I added the rear lift, the bra, the altimeter/tilt gauge, the cell phone/GPS 12V adapter, the 750W power inverter, MP3 player, and I bought a Thule roof cage (bolts right to the luggage rack). Next up: I really need an exhaust (stainless steel, Downey probably... headers if I can afford 'em) because mine is the original sans the Catalytic converter (stolen in L.A. last year). And I'd like a chrome bull bar with Hella or Piaa lights and possibly some used chrome Smittybilt nerf bars. Most everything on this Runner was stock. It had just went through the recall with ~60K miles, so it has a new timing belt, water pump and of course, head gasket. She still has her original 1992 floormats (a good scrubbing at the car wash and they were good-as-new!) I have drained and replaced the brake fluid, tranny fluid and coolant. I put new plugs, belts and brakes and a fuel filter on her. And this weekend I'm gonna spend a lot of time undercoating her undercarriage (where some surface rust is beginning to form). All and all, a good deal. Portlanders take good care of their 4WDs, and my aunt kept up on it. She wasn't gonna sell it to me so I had to beg. It spends its time in a carport in San Jose, CA now. not bad. It's been up in the Sierra-Nevadas once (not one problem!) and it has shown potential for the mountains.
