you will need a gasket set, new timing belt, new serpentine belts, oil filter, and i would go ahead and replace the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires

where did you get that engine? my friend just got one from oregonengines.com and we are currently putting it in. We opted to screw the crossover pipe and put downey headers in. At the same time we put in a centerforce clutch, clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, new iginition parts, air filter, timing belt, water pump. get an entire set of engine gaskets from rock gaskets or another quality brand. good luck bro

I like Beck-Arnley(sp) parts because they are most of the time OE; Yeah sure you pay a few $$'s more but it is still cheaper than the stealer and the quality is better than the aftermarket crap.

As far as gaskets, if its a long block like pictured. You will only need, oil pan, valve cover, upper & lower intake, and thermostat gaskets. Put a new timing belt on, also new plugs, wires, and cap as said above. The new clutch is a good idea to while your in there. As for the radiator hoses, if there in good condition, I wouldn't worrie. All yeah new belts to.

I like Lee's (firefighter emt) link here....

He may have saved me some issues amidst my HG replacement!

Ah owning a 3vze is alot like owning a GMC tyhpoon or cyclone, if you arent an ASE certified mechanic, it soon will make you one! LOL

i got this from a company in arizona called Engines Direct. how much did the headers cost you? does anyone have a link to a good source for distributor cap, rotor, and new plugs and wires?

Replace all of your fuel injection brass washers too to ensure no gas leaks...and watch out for the cold start injector line coming off of the fuel rail...the old ones tend to be brittle and bust once you get everything hooked up and you get fuel pressure back on it. I also got my injectors ultrasonically cleaned and new grommets for that.

Get a hold of Phil...I ordered all of mine through him. We discussed the FSM and all of those little washers.
