Rock Slider

Every time I say it, it's like Backslider from the Toadies.

Garrett and I have made some sliders for my truck. Actually we made these things a while ago, but they are still not painted and installed. Mainly cause I decided to sleeve the frame and had to have the gas tank off to do so.

Just sticking it up there to see...

AtTACKing!

So far so good. On a side note, MAN that crossmember hangs low. What to do.

Don't worry, I kicked both sides out.

1" kicks.

Keep it comming.

Note to self, get a good chop saw. HF sucks!!! Lots of grinding to fix bad angles.

All tacked up. Do it all over again for the other side.

More pics of how it looks now later. Can you dig it?

very nice. Glad you added the kickouts. Those are key to a good set of sliders. Straights do you little good.

Friends of Distinction?

Or part of the movie "The Warriors" where the leader of RIF is speaking at the gang jamboree.

So that if you are sliding along a rock it kicks the truck away from the rock, instead of running the rock right into the tire. Also, if you have tires that stick out past the fender a little bit, it helps.

The one shot down the side of your sliders looks like that 2nd to last support piece is a little out of line w/the others but you probably fixed that already. I like how it hugs the panels!

It is from a song from the late 60s or ealry 70s.
I can not remember the groups name, but it had a catchy tune and the lyrics to it.
Google, thanks for the name of the band
Song = Grazing In the Grass
