I have frt & rear 3rd members out of the howsing from a 85 pickup not shore witch 1 is the front or rear how do i tell or is there a defference THANKS

THANKS So will a locker that came from a rear go in the frt? I want to put a spool in the rear & a locker in the frt & I have a powertrac out of a rear I was hoping to usein the frt.

 

Yes it will also fit.
I am assuming you are putting these 3rds in a solid axle truck. Is that correct?

 

Generally lockers and limited slips will swap no problems. Only one that may be an issue is the TrueTrac that is supposed to have different units for front and rear axle use.

spool the rear & probly go with a aussie locker in the frt if the powertrac will not work.

Ill dig some up .I still have the sammy axles under it till I have all parts together .at the momet im running 462 in the diffs 4.1 t/case yj missing links frt 1/4 eliptic 4 link rear with 33 tsl,s in a 88 tintop but iv got a set of 36 Irocs on beadlocks to go on & im doing good to run 33s with the sammy axles so its time to step up to toy,s& 100 inch wheelbase
