The green light on dash just to right of column? My buddy says it is to light the key on the steering column. It does go off eventually (it does on his 89 runner)

Yeah, mine goes off eventually...but since the whole dash is out now...

The green light, yep for lighting the keyhole on the steering column.

Sorry to Hi-Jack the thread but I just noticed an avatar I had to inquire about.
Yoda- Are you in the Corps.? If so are you a Naval Aviator? I was wondering because I went to OCS for the Marine Corps. just this summer and am aspiring to become a Naval Aviator, specifically fixed wing. I'll get commisioned next year once I graduate from here at KU, Anyways, just wanted some more info.
