Im thinkin of crankin my t-bars up. i dont know nothin bout them really and i was wonderin how excatly to do it and bout how much of a lift it gives.how hard is it to do and etc. all info welcomed-thanks

I'll give you some advice too. BEFORE you do any adjustments, buy a second set of torsion bar bolts from the dealer. You almost always break one or both if you've never adjusted them (because they get corroded or rusty and the nuts stick). When putting in new bolts, put some anti-seize on them to prevent snapping them the next time.

 

is there torison bars in the rear? if not how do i get it lifted to be even if i crank the front torison bar

 

Torsion bars are up front only. What's the year and model? Mine are cranked about 1.5". They have been that way for over a year now with no cv problems. I wouldn't recommend going any higher than that.

 

You'll have either leaf or coil springs in back depending on what vehicle you have. Some options for rear lift include an add-a-leaf, longer spring shackles, or coil spring spacers.

 

I bought a set of 26mm T-Bars from Downeyoffroad.com. I got a ~1.5" lift just from instaling them...amazing. A few cranks on the T-Bar bolts and I was up to 3" to even it with the lifted rear. The ride didn't get stiff and it actually feels better than stock.

IMO, I'd go with a new set of T-Bars instead of cranking them. Plus, it was only ~$128...

 

You got 3" of lift by just crankin the torsion bars? how much does all this cost? i got a 1994 4runner. can u explain how u got ur 3" lift b/c then i could but 33" tires on. and how much it cost and etc. VERY INTERESTED!!!

 

geneius- im tryin to figure ur lift out u raised the rear with coil spacers and then just cranked ur torision bars up to 1.5 and had a 3" lift and fit 33" tires?thanks
