2nd Gen Defrosting

Any luck? I don't understand it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But i think it never works when you really need it. (like after making out) What settings have you found work the best (fastest)?

Try experimenting with the Fresh Air/Recirculate. I run mine on Recirulate most of the time it seems to work okay. Cracking a window while your driving helps as well. Maybe you should save all the making out for the house

Mine works fine.
I never run it on recirc, as that does not bring in fresh outside air.

On recirc you recycle the air you are breathing in and out and that will fog up your windows real quick.
I also drive with my window down an inch all the time in the winter.
The Vent Visors keep the rain out when the windows are cracked some.

Summer it's down half way or all the way.

Heh...well if you're 17 like me, the only way that making out in the house works is if the parents go to bed early and you and your gf decide to "watch a movie".

I used to set it for fresh air and heat in the winter, open the front windows a little bit and roll down the tailgate window some, it de-fogs pretty quick.

Use it

Pinoy, Use the AC button. It will clear pretty quickly. What I do is use that on the full defrost setting (No floor) and then also use the dash mounted vents next to the door and angle those to hit the side windows. Obviously you should hit the rear window defog switch also (Rear window must be up for this to work!)

Thanks a lot you guys. I'll "test" it out today. *Ahem* Oh yeah, the passenger's trunk side window. Does the defroster button fix that at all? I'm thinking that my parents hit the little thing when putting bikes in my truck. (thank goodness i have a rear bike rack now)

A/C on w/ ventilation set for outside air. Once it clears, let the A/C run a bit more and then cycle as necessary (or leave it on if you want. I prefer not to run the A/C anymore than I have to).
