What kind of fluid goes into the ......

transfer case and front differential? I changed the rear differential fluid and I put in 80/90 gear oil, took almost 3 qt's. Do I put the same type into them as well? Also, how many qt's would I need for the transfer case and front diff?

Look in your owners manual if you have it. It tells you exactly what oil you need to use.

i checked my transfer case oil recently and it was pratically empty. it took one and a half bottles of gear oil to fill it back up again. i'm not sure exactly how much was in a bottle. there's no telling how long it's been like that. i hadn't checked my transfer case oil since i've had the truck. eeek. i know this is probably a really bad thing. any comments??? any input would be nice. thankssssssssssssssssss.
