What kind of fluid goes into the ......

transfer case and front differential? I changed the rear differential fluid and I put in 80/90 gear oil, took almost 3 qt's. Do I put the same type into them as well? Also, how many qt's would I need for the transfer case and front diff?

Wesson, or Canola is low in trans-fats.

full synthetic gear lube in my diffs, but my auto transfer case uses ATF...

Look in your owners manual if you have it. It tells you exactly what oil you need to use.

i checked my transfer case oil recently and it was pratically empty. it took one and a half bottles of gear oil to fill it back up again. i'm not sure exactly how much was in a bottle. there's no telling how long it's been like that. i hadn't checked my transfer case oil since i've had the truck. eeek. i know this is probably a really bad thing. any comments??? any input would be nice. thankssssssssssssssssss. :)
