Tranny/Transfer case questions
Hi, hopefully a couple of easy questions for one of the experienced Toyota guys out there. We're putting a '92 pickup back together, 22re, 5-speed, 4wd:
1. Do the transmission and transfer case share fluids, or do we need to fill them with gear oil separately? I know you can just dump the trans fluid into the shifter opening prior to installing the shifter. If it's separate, do we fill the TC from the plate on top or is there a fill hole in the side somewhere?
2. In bolting the tranny and TC together, two of the bolts are bottoming out before pulling the two together. I'm thinking there must be a bracket that goes onto a couple of those bolts, but I'm blanking out (it's been over 6 months since I disassembled). Can someone help me out with that?
Thanks!

Thanks, Terry's 87. On the second question, I'm actually talking about the (6) bolts that bolt the transfer case onto the back of the transmission, so right above your forearm on that pic. For some reason, two of the bolts are longer, and I'm betting on some sort of bracket.
