Foam adhesive tape removal
I had some VentVisors on my truck and have removed them, but the foam tape left a lot of adhesive on the doors. Is there anything that I can use to safely remove the adhesive w/o runing the paint? I've tried bug & tar remover with limited success.

I wouldnt use Goof Off for the reason that Brian mentioned above. It is not paint safe.
There's another product with a similar name called "Goo Gone". It is biodegradable and paint safe. i have both in my garage and I almost always use the Goo Gone and have had no problems.

There's some orange oil products out there that work awesome on adhesives. We use a generic brand at our sign shop for removing fleet graphics.

My friend just left his truck in the sun for a while and when it was very hot he was able to remove most of it with some elbow grease and his fingers but he still used a little light adhesive remover to get the rest.

Goof off is bad for paint, but works.. Goo Gone is better, but the best is sold at automotive paint stores, and is marketed by 3M as (what else) Adhesive Remover. It's about $10 for a can, but nothing else is better. (that I've seen anyway.)

I have a can of that 3M adhesive remover and you have to be carefull not to rub too hard or it will mar the paint a little but it will work.

DX-330 is the best at removing that type of stuff. I dont know what I would do without it. Stop by your local PPG supplier and pick some up.

I Agree W/ Crzn01. Ppg Dx330 Wax And Grease Remover Works Well Although It Might Be A Little On The Steep Side For You.
Last I Recall It Was Around $30.00/gallon

Go to a body shop supplier and ask for some "Body Solvent". Its a safe solvent for glue and imperfections.
