So when replacing your transmission oil when it’s full I know it should come out of the top fill hole but should you wait till it stops dripping or put the bolt in when it still dripping really good ? I don’t want to overfill it

It's called a drain plug. If "...it still dripping really good ?" You overfilled it. If you don't want to overfill it, don't overfill it.

A few drips mean nothing. It's OK. So is an eighth, or quarter inch below the filler plug level.

The difference of a couple ounces of oil either way is irrelevant.
