I have a 92 4Runner with a 3.0 and a automatic. The over drive light will flash occasionally. It will normally happen after the truck is warmed up. When this happens the acceleration is very sluggish. The engine revs to about 3k and slowly starts moving like the transmission is slipping. After searching the forum and reading about similar situations I checked the code. It was 63, a bad solenoid. I brought it to the mechanic, I don’t have a place to work on the truck, and explained what was happing and the code. They checked the resistance of the solenoid which was good and put dielectric grease on the connector and took it for test drive. They could not reproduce the problem. It is still happening intermittently. Anyone else have a similar issue?
