So I'm sure you've all heard the"cranks but wont start" questions. Well here's another one. Initially this is what happened, I changed the injectors and then pinched an O ring by accident, left it for about a month and a half till I had to seriously change the O rings. Changed the O rings then started it up, after running for 5-10 seconds it died and I was only able to get it running by shooting starting fluid down the pipe. Relays are all checked and fine so I changed the fuel pump. That wasn't it so I found out my MAF sensor was bad so I just changed that out. Now the fuel pump comes on BUT it stays on and the truck cranks and still won't start.... HELP PLEASE lol 😁

 

Hmmm, did you check all the relays and fuses? Sounds pedantic I know but we can at least cross that off the list if those are fine.

 

First, you may not care, but you don't have a "MAF" (Mass Air-Flow sensor). You have a Vane Air Flow sensor - different technology.

"Relays are all checked ..." Sorry, but you don't even know where all the relays are. Which ones did you check? (only a few have anything to do with starting) And how did you check them?

If it runs with starting fluid but not without, it is almost certainly a fuel delivery problem. Start by checking the fuel flow at the end. Replace the FPR fuel return with 6mm clear vinyl to a suitable container. Run the fuel pump with the diagnostic connector. I get about 1/2 liter/min.

If you have good fuel flow, you may not be opening the injectors. Start by examining the wiring; gently pull on each connector (that's a weak point).

Hopefully the Thread Starter got the truck going after a month and a half.

If not, make sure the intake plumbing is hooked up so the fuel pump comes on when it is supposed to. The fuel pump should only run when the key is in the START position or with the engine running in the ON position during normal operation. If you have the FP and +B terminals jumped in the diagnostic port, then the fuel pump can run in the same positions above, and now with the key ON with the engine not running.

As Scope103 says, the fact that the truck runs on starting fluid indicates that you are getting spark, have enough compression to run, and that timing cannot be way off. This leaves fuel as the main problem.
