Not in my experience. Usually it will start but stall.

No. Dont think so. Should maybe give previous responses a shot. No spark...like Wyoming suggested, wiring circuit possibly. Wish I could be more specific. Sure there's plenty of posts on circuitry.

I know there's spark testers at the auto parts. Dont know if that's something you've tried on an engine that doesn't crank. Batt is good from what I recall. Connections solid? Did cam shaft sensor code come back?

I've spent the last 2 days ohm 'n out every wire to the ecm. All wires have continuity and check out fine. Can sensor, and crank sensor with in ohm spec. And cam sensors , crank sensor , igniter wires, maf wires all test good continuity back to ecm. I swapped ecm's today still no spark. The only 2 things I have not changed are tps and maf, I just picked up the same year maf, so headed home to swap them out now to try

Yes got it figured out. The bottom crank gear had broken a tooth off! A mechanical failure making it tough to troubleshoot. Even though the crank sensor ohmd out with in spec, it was not reading what it was looking for and then not sending the correct signal to ecm to fire the coils. Huge head ache but got the crank gear swapped out, and it fired right up!!
