86 F350 a good donor?
I'd like to do a suspension and axle swap out of an 86 f 350, I have a welder and some know how, the truck is free, I dont have it here tho. Does anyone have any experience with something like this? Is the front diff on the correctside? if its not, it probably wont work I'd imagine unless theres a way to rotate the Tcase? I just got this lil toyota and wanna make it crawl well and join a local off road club.
Also This is my first post here Thanks for having me!

So ... update... The front axle I wanted to use is drivers side diff, the yota has a passenger side diff. Can you rotate anything to make the drive shaft come out the drivers side? my head tells me I'm outta luck, but my heart wants me to be wrong

Have you a reason for dana 60's or 70's? Just seems like way more axle than is needed. Unless your planning on 44's with a sbc type swap. You will be adding a ton of weight. This has been done before and guys normally are not "happy" with the super heavy weight added. Just an opinion. Maybe if you better tell us your goals we can help steer you in the right direction.

I think you need to go to www.pirate4x4.com and research some full width axle swaps. they can certainly be done and manufacturers such as sky manufacturing have full with swap kits.
Old Toyotas are narrower than domestic trucks and WMS to WMS is much wider. Finding axles with a passenger diff is going to make your life a lot easier. Just flipping the axle will not be the way to go because your diff will be spinning backwards and not be near as strong. (youll be riding on the "coast" side of R&P instead of the "drive" side.
YT doesnt have a huge 'extreme' crowd and your research on pirate will yield great results.
BTW, thats a badass deuce and half.

ah Thanks for the info I'll try pirate out. And thanks about the deuce too she's an eye catcher, and fun to drive, but it gets interesting working on that big of stuff all the time haha. Really gotta be ready for big jobs with it even relatively "little jobs"
