Radiator replacement for 1985 automatic 4runner

Looking for a nice radiator swap for an 85 4runner. I have an auto transmission and I'd like the radiator to have the trans cooler too. Any suggestions?

I ordered an CSF 850 for about $145 shipped. I'll post an update after I get it installed.

Well, the CSF 850 bolt pattern matches, but the hood wont latch. Its hitting the top of the radiator.

Nope. I was mistaken, the radiator was not causing the interference. The CSF 850 seems to be good fit.

How much larger is the radiator compared to stock? How about some pictures?

I did not take side by side pics. I'll post some pics soon. The hood does close and the radiator fits fine. The fan shroud did not fit and a I had to trim the bottom to match the plumbing. The other main difference is the radiator sits about 1" closer to the engine. On the upside, the gap created between the a/c condenser and the radiator could fit a trans cooler. So far so good on the cooling though. I also swapped thermostats to the 2 stage Toyota thermostat.

Here I got talking to myself again, but I forgot to say, that the upper hose and the air intake now touch each other too. I assume that's gotta be heating that air intake up and its after the MAF and IAT sensor. Seems like that's gotta mess the mix ratio up. I don't think the 2 where touching with the original radiator and hose.

Pics would help. And I'lll post some soon.

A friend told me I should swap out the radiator I got with the turbo model 22RE radiator. ( I think he said the turbo one) He said it was bigger and was bolt on. Cant hurt to keep the beotch cooler
