Help! Just dropped a decent 22re into the truck and it fired right up. Broke down while driving on the highway...was purring like a kitten, then cel (check engine light) then wouldn't go. When I put the key on, I'm not seeing the cel, battery,oil, brake lights come on like you do before starting... the engine turns over but no spark. I can't get any diagnostics from the ecu as the cel doesn't come on at all. All fuses look good, I can hear efi relay click, all grounds are good. Where do I start?

Looks like you found a thread with some good info.

 

I would look real close as in remove and clean all your ground wires.

The one for the ecu is very important !!!

Just how did you check them??

Loose fuse or corroded in the fuse block

I am thinking something vibrated loose as things were working good.

 

Where does the ECU ground? I've got the 4 on the engine..

 

Right side on the intake manifold.

Funny how just being a 1/4 turn to loose can cause a lack of good contact.

 

ok, turns out the AM2 30A fuse is blown on the EFI circuit. Replacing it , but going to look for what may have shorted out the circuit

 

How does the statement all fuses look good impact what you seem to have found??

Looking through the plastic window it looked intact, but the ohm meter proved it wasn't.
Further inspection of the wiring harness revealed a melted pair of wires near the back of the upper intake. So glad this resolved, purring like a kitten again!
