Speed hut gauges ?'S

Hi I just got my SpeedHut gauges Today. I read Matts story and feel sorry for the guy and now I had a few ?'s. For all of you who ordered the SpeedHut
gauges did you guys only get 4 gauges like mine? I didn't get a prnl whatever this is the lower part of the guages. Was this includeded... or just the 4 main gauges like fuel, temp, rpm and speed thats what I got. Who else installed their gauges I am fraking out because of matts story? Is it worth it to install or should I just sell em off to any one for the same price we all got em for? Thanks to all in advance

Wow they look nice. I want to keep them now but scared to put them on since I never opened my cluster before but only on my other cars. Is there any tips when putting it on that I should watch out for? How long did it take you to put them on Lets say if you never had put in the other gauge on? So on the speedhut gauges do you just unplug the og wires and just connect the speed hut gauges were the og wires were. Thanks in advance

guys,

lemme get this straight: no instructions sheet from speedhut? if that's true, that's pretty weak.

criticism aside, its NOT difficult to put in overlays. i did it slowly but carefully the first time around w/ no problem. read both mine and UK's write up in the Tech section. you'll be fine, guys.

Speedhut and the TRD Logo ...

There are several threads committed to this topic of Speedhut dials, and I have no way to merge them, so I picked this one to spread the word.

I e-mailed Speedhut about the TRD logo not looking like the logo and here is the response:

"Anyone that specified TRD LOGO should have receive [sic] the recognized TRD logo NOT text. IF they want to send the kit back we will remake the dials for free. Have them call 801-796-1460. If they stated text = TRD in their order they would have received custom text NOT the logo TRD."

Sounds pretty fair to me, boys. Sure, you're out shipping, but that's better than being mad about the TRD not looking like the logo and always thinking bad thoughts about Speedhut, right?

I'd say Speedhut deserves kudos from us for offering to fix this screwup.

(However, check with me after I've attempted installation ... I may change my mind!)

Tomcat is right, so far Speedhut has stepped up twice concerning their gauges. I plan to install mine Fri, to the mysterious green wire that leads to the dimmer switch. I hope I don't ˟˟˟˟˟˟ up my wiring.

They are also going to replace my gauges at no charge, since apparently something blew in them somewhere. I brought up to them that the three icons on the fuel level gauge (check engine, cruise, etc) do not line up very well with the holes they cut out in the white face gauges. They were very concerned so hopefully, they will do something about them soon also.
BTW, the instructions did suck. They were generic and definitely not specific to the 4Runner and the print was so small you could hardly read it.

BTW....
I am now bound and determined to finish the blue light conversion one way or another. I am going to put the new Speedhut gauges in and do the other dash bulbs as soon as that paint arrives. Damn it, I've put enough blood, sweat, and tears into this thing that I'm gonna finish it.

Here it is...

http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/P...Bulbs_111.html

It's coming from the UK. It was 5.99 pounds and five pounds to ship it (around $20 total). It should be here any day now. I'll post pics of everything when I'm done.
