I think your best bet is a pick and pull or someone parting a vehicle. If you end up finding it I imagine its expensive through dealership or parts place.

 

I've always (3 times) gone to the dealer for the bracket and they're PRICEY!. Never been able to find an aftermarket bracket but I believe someone did a writeup on repairing this part on this site.

 

X2. Bracket at dealer is about $140

 

Now to me $ 140.00 is not all that expensive if it means having a vehicle up and running.

 

Especially if it takes weeks or months to find a used one or make one. Up here in the Northeast (and elsewhere on the rust belt) 4Runners rotted quick and hit the junkyard 10-15 years ago. Today they have either been picked clean or have turned to dust.

OP, what exactly is wrong with yours that needs replacing? I was faced with this challenge early on in my restoration and was able to repair it.

To many different Fuel sending unit brackets for the same year truck. You WILL need your VIN and take it to the dealership, $140 and a couple days and you will have the correct part.

 

Maybe if your lucky some of the mid- eighties are going obsolete

thanks for all the response y'all Ive got my bracket in and now I'm waiting on fuel pump. Now I'm kind of worried this isn't even going to fix my problem which was no fuel to the efi upon trying to start the newly rebuilt 22re. Now the fuel system did need to be replaced bc the rusting was so bad. Im just worried that I'm missing something. Has anyone ran into this same problem after a rebuild.? Does anyone know of any good wiring diagrams for the fuel system on a 1993 toyota pickup dlx 2.4 4wd

 

my '89 4x4 sat for a decade, tank rusted out bad. I replaced tank, brackets, pump, sender, and a potion of fuel line at the tank. A previous owner hacked up the wiring in the engine bay pretty bad, so I had to run a jumper wire to a toggle switch, then I traced my fuel pump wire into the cab ( mine was under the passenger seat, solid blue) After taping into the fuel pump wire I was able to turn on my pump and verify I had pressure under the hood (LCE Fuel Pressure Gauge).
After I replaced the wiring under the hod, my fuel system worked as designed.

 

okay so i put everything back together i.e. new fuel pump/bracket installed but still not fuel to the engine and fuel pump is not responding. What i did discover is a blown EFI fuse which would blow every time i would put a new one in. As soon as i turned the key it would blow the fuse. Now i read online somewhere that my relay could b bad but i don't understand why all of this stuff worked fine before i put the block in. I also tried manually opening the mass air flow gate but still no response from the fuel pump. I suck bad at all things electrical. So any help would be great thanks.s

 

Time to learn some electrical skills!! Your Multimeter is your friend

Toyota has great Wiring diagrams some of the easiest I ever used I have a hard copy of every year Toyota I own

It worked before which means at some point you hooked up something wrong crushed something etc.

Just a random event not at all related to anything.

You need to take it one step at a time find why the EFI fuse keeps opening.

Circuit opening Relay Shorted possible

Then work on the no fuel issue
