After headjob no power to starter
Just finishing up a head gasket replace on '92 22RE FI pickup.
Pressing the clutch in gives a relay click from the glove box area but no starter solenoid energize. Have I forgotten something?
Fresh battery, clean terminals, ground tight behind compressor, solenoid wire still attached to solenoid.....

The only safety interlock I know is the clutch switch.
What harness plug on the plenum?
What seat switch?
What exotic 4Runner do you have?
Did you look at starting system to see what it takes to make starter solenoid click?
Anything else working?
Let me reiterate...

run a jumper wire with a spade from the starter motor (where the small wire attaches to the solenoid on the starter) and turn the ign to on and tough the jumper wire (that is attached to the spade connector you put on the starter) to the bat +. this will turn on the starter and as soon as you disconnect the wire from the batt + it will stop the starter motor.
if this works than you have a corroded wire to the starter soloniod (usually it is the first 5" of the wire attached to the starter) or your clutch cancel/nss wire is messed up.
so basically your ign switch is not making + from the batt through the keyed switch through the safety switch to engage the starter.
good luck

Now that was easy to read...
The ground is wet with the "chocolate milk" that came out of the pan.
It's good to tell me "spade terminal" so I only have to stay under it shortly. I was going to use an alligator clip to jump it.
I understand clutch safety switch.
Please, what is cancel/nss ?

I believe the clutch cancel switch is the button of the left hand side of your dash. That you depress to start the truck without pressing the clutch. Now that I have opened my mouth I'm probably wrong. Good luck
