Well guys I am on the hunt for a T100. I have had several Toyota pickup's and 4Runner's, but now looking to get a T100. Don't know much about these trucks. Is there anything common issues with these and anything I should be looking out for? I am looking for a '95 and up so I can get the 3.4 motor. I have one I will be looking at this weekend. It is a '96 4x4 ext. cab with around 130,xxx miles on it. The guy is asking $3500. Any advice on what to look for would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

The 3.4L 5vz-fe engines are nearly identical from year to year so any info you find searching will mostly apply. The HG had a issue on the early 3.4s from 95 to 97 or so and many were replace under recall. Still, some of us have had a second one go 200k or so miles later.

Chassis rust could be an issue in the salt belt.

Specific to the T100, I dunno....have never owned one.
