So i gota 91 4x4 and the guy said it had a lsd and when i up it in 4x4 the rear end locked up when i turn but when i went up a hill only one wheel spun out and one guy said try adjusting ur lsd,, can i do this and how is it done

Trucks don't come stock with an LSD.

 

Toyotas don't have a factory LSD option offered in any years? Learn something new everyday.

 

AFAIK the only "stock" LSDs that can be used in a pre-96 PU/4Runner rear axle were found in late model Supras with 8" diffs. I've never heard of them, or any other Toyota LSD, being adjustable though.

 

The only LSD that has a possible tweak is a Detroit TrueTrac.

 

A KAAZ SUPERQ LSD, which should be able to be installed in a pre-96 Toyota PU/4Runner 8" axle(since they're available for Supra 8" axles), has some degree of adjustability. But, of course, they can't be considered a "stock" LSD(having never come stock in any Toyota vehicles that I'm aware of).

That's my theory anyway. Never heard of anyone actually installing one, let alone adjusting it.

 

hmm alright, cus i had a ranger that said it had the lsd and when i put it in 4x4 the rear locked up as long aas i was moving, were this truck ill put it in 4x4 and the rear only locks up when i turn,, dos this help in any way
