Tach resistor mod

I need some info regarding the tach mod. I have searched a lot, but no one shows an '84 sr5 tach. All the mods I have seen have been on different circuit boards from what mine looks like. My tach board is mounted horizontally just above the needle. The board itself is only about 1.25"X 2". And the are no descriptions about which terminals (circuits) actually get the resistor, so I can't just apply the resistor to my different board... Any help is much appreciated.

I just swapped from an '84 22R to a '98 twin coil 3RZ...

Huh? The only thing you should have to change is if your going from a 4cyl cluster to a v6 cluster. And an 84 sr5 tach I know 100% is going to be a 4cyl cluster. And the truck in your avatar I know 100% would have a 4cyl in it. Unless you've done a motor swap. SO not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Only thing resister related I have seen is the adjustable dashpot but that's on the 89-95 clusters not he 84-88 clusters.

What is a "pot"? A potentiometer? Mine has a small potentiometer on the board, but my tach doesn't even move at all. And from what I have found researching, this is only for fine tuning..
