leaf springs?
what aftermarket springs can fit on an 85 runner w/o reloacteing the stock spring hangers and shackels? I already have an addal in the rear and downey shackels and can fit 35's but im looking for more flex. http://www.angelfire.com/rant/unknow...lexyrunner.jpg thats what i get now.

i assume you have taken off the swaybar? have you removed the torque rod? if not, remove those for a start.
otherwise, go with some all pros
if you switch to x-over steering you have more options for cheap springs, i.e. rears up front etc.

front springs
I run the rancho 44044's they flex really good with the 3rd. spring taken out and only cost 260.00 and give about 5" lift and you need crossover steering. I can e mail you some flex shots if you want. I run the 63" chevys in the rear.

Econo options:
1) Rears in front (Will have to lengthen driveshaft and shorten draglink - but if you have an adjustable drag link it will be no problem).
2) 44044's - you have to grind the springs a little to make them fit because they are 2.5" wide and the toys are 2.36" wide.
*** with these two options you will have to limit driver's side droop so you don't break a j-arm***
Pricey options:
1) Allpro - get the longer than stock springs because the stock length ones ride like ˟˟˟˟˟.
2) Alcan - These are awesome.
***you'll haveto limit droop too with these***

Did you just buy that 4runner? I am almost positive that was up on the pirate board not to long ago- nice rig.
Here is my advise:
You should without question buy a high steer setup. If you do not you will end up eigther breaking j-arms or having to limit everything (front) from flexing rendering your new springs useless. Do this mod first!!! Your truck will drive so nicely after you have done this.
Onto the springs - unless you are a fab/weld guy stay away from the home brew set ups. To do the rears up front you must cut & rotate the knuckles to obtain correct caster (this will cost you cash & down time if someone else does it) along with a few other mods. I personally use this set up , and it does work excellent however I do all my own work. I say go with the allpros they are on sale , and are worth the money.

Allpro springs $199 fronts (cheaper than rancho 44044s'!)
$299 rears
Hmmmm sounds like a smoking deal!
