88 3.0 4x4 shocks. and suspension advice needed

i need to replace the front shocks in my 88 4x4.

what are some good (quality and affordability) rated shocks you guys use ?
also.
do i have to replace the horizontal shock in the front ?

it looks like a very easy job, but they are likely to be rusted on, so, any advice in possible things to avoid too ...

and, when i replace the worn out front shocks, will the front end rise, and make the back look saggy... ? ... if so, is there anything i need to do in the back ?

Replacing the front shocks is very simple. The horizontal shock is called a steering stabilizer, u do not necessarily need to replace it but it wouldn't hurt, its mainly designed for wheel wander, so if you have stock tires you'll be fine. The fronts will have a very slight to no difference in height being new. I just put the Pro Comp ES9000s and so far I like em'.
