YOURE GARAGE!!!! really a simple engine to swap out man, for real, just did my first one. Course, I completely overhauled mine which took a little extra time, but they are REALLY easy to swap out. Youll find more than enough help online here if you need anything too...course, I understand if its not feasible to do so, just thought I'd mention it.

Don't exactly have time. Unless I do it on the weekend I'm just worried ill screw up all the vacuum lines and electrical, since I have never done an engine swap. You think a beginner can do it in a weekend?

Throw a word out to the buddies on here and see if someone in your area that might have done it before can help and get the all data sheets or the manual on your truck just in case, plus there are a ton of members here if you run into a problem.
My brother-in-law and I are doing mine right now and it's my first full engine swap. Way easier then it seems, I would get a roll of vac line and replace any worn parts as you go, take the money you would spend at a shop(1500-2000 plus engine) and put it back into your rig. You can build a bad 22re with help off here and EB for about 3000 and drop it in over a weekend

ya, you will find all the help you ever needed on here man...the electrical really isnt that big of a deal...vacuum lines were my biggest mishap. I deleted the egr on mine though and that did away with a TON of the vacuum lines. Weekend job??? meh...shouldnt be too hard. I had a 3" body lift on mine which really made it easy to access the trans bolts and what not...but ya, id say a solid weekend you could do it for sure.
