Engine will not stay on after being cranked

I just bought this truck and its got high mileage but it runs great. However this last week its randomly been not staying on after I crank it. I have a new batter, plugs and wires and also a new alternator. It typically only does it after the truck is warm. I've never had it not stay on after a cold crank. I'm guessing because when cold the idle revs high. If I rev the engine high it will stay on just like normal but if not it cranks and then just dies on me. Thanks for any help guys.

Hey there fellow South Carolinian...

The IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) can cause a rough/low idle on a warm engine when the valve is gunked up. I have never heard of it getting so bad that the engine won't run but I guess it's possible.

There are some threads on cleaning the IAC if you search. You might try that as well as cleaning the MAF sensor with some electrical contact cleaner / MAF sensor cleaner.

Is the computer throwing any codes?
