pictures of Kayline soft top mounted on 1st gen. 4runner

Any of you guys have a picture of a Kayline soft top mounted on an 84-89 4runner? I need to take a look at how it's mounted to the truck and the hardware involved...I guess a look at the exterior would be nice too. I'm thinking about buying the one for sale from Felicehouse. I guess I need visual stimulation to convince me

Well the way THAT particular one mounts is with about 300 screws into your sheet metal.

There's LOTS on info on here about it too:

Yes, I have one too but I used brackets from 4crawler to make it all bolt on instead of screw on...

Can you show how and where the brackets from 4Crawler are used on it.

thanks BigBluePile. I'm thinking about buying a Kayline top from a local here in Austin, but the only hardware she has for it is the structural "hoops". Everything else is missing, so I'm trying to figure out if using the 4Crawler hardware kit will complete the package. I really like how his kit eliminates 90% of the drilling. This thread has a picture of what hardware she has left:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f149...ft-top-212461/

She finally dropped her price so I was considering making another offer.

Phildelphino, there's some more pictures in these threads, hope it helps:

If 4Crawler's kit doesn't have everything I need to complete what she's selling, then I may just weld a simple frame like this:

...but then it wouldn't be convertible. I'm honestly not sure if that's a big dealbreaker for me. I mostly want to be able to roll the sides and back flap up when the weather's nice, and enjoy a breeze when I'm camping. Also, it may come in handy along with a security cage for an epic trip I want to take in two years: Austin, TX to Tierra Del Fuego, South America...

Well, it's hard to see in those little pics, but what's missing is the forward support rods that hold the forward hoop up. That's easy to score and is actually what mine was missing as well.

Are you saying you found a place to get them, or is that just something that's easy to fab or scavenge from tops for sale in the classlifieds?
