On my 93 4x4 V6 I have low beam but no hi beams. When I pull the handle back the hi s go on to flash but when I flip the handle forward its just like turning off the lights. I have read some other forums and on my year of truck everybody seems to have the opposite problems. SO whats causing this, the switch? I check the fuses and they are fine. I just want to see if anybody knows what the problems is before I start spending money on it.

 

My 87 did the same thing. I had to blow out the switch on the steering column and everything worked fine. It was dirt and dog hair causing the problem.

 

you might do a search here on yt ,there was a similar posting recently with a good how to link.

 

my first guess is switch related, I had the same thing on a corolla that I had, just got a new (used stitch) from e-prey.

 

I saw the links on how to fix them in a pre 89 trucks and 4runners but the switchs in a 93 are different so that doesn't help me much
