need help, pictures and info on Kayline/STC 4runner top?
Hey all, I need some help, I inherited a Kayline/STC soft top from a friend that wrecked his 87 runner. he haddn't used it in years and it is missing most of the hardware. I have the top and the bows and I think all 4 brackets that the bows mount in. I'm missing all the side rails the upper support rods and all the snaps and screws. does anyone have one they could take pictures of. So I can fabricate some. I printed of visios from the company website, but they are sorta vague. The company is in the middle of a sale again, and cannot offer hardware right now. Not sure what's gonna happen there. would really like a can back top, but can't beat the price on this one.
gonna make it my winter project as it was 26 degree's when I was on the way to work this morning, and snow in the forcast! NO SOFT TOPS ANYTIME HERE SOON! LOL!
Peace out!

I'll try to get pics of my kayline.
Basically, the sides are just aluminum angles. about 3 feet long. the back ones are cut and bent to go around the curve at the back of the fenders.
There are a couple of 3/8ths rods that go from the front stays to holes you drill into the cab. The cab connection is flat stock with a little lip to keep the water from flowing back/in. The stock is 1/8, 2 inch wide and comes in 2 pieces you attach the top, then bend it down to match the curve of the cap. There are self taping screws holding all this junk on. Except on the cab where their are snaps with self tapping screws as well as some relular self tapping screws.
I found out last night that Specialty Tops Company is for sale. If it doesn't sell, they are simply going to fold. They might have the parts in stock.
