I have searched on the site and the only info I have come up with is jumping the E1&TE1 terminals with a paperclip. I can do that, now where do I find out what all my flashing means? I went by a couple shops and the cheapest they said they can do it is $50. The parts stores dont have the equipment to check the codes either. I took it to get emissions this morning and no CEL...thankfully...then it popped on this afternoon.
Any help/guidance is appreciated!

 

Ugh...I just found it. Sorry all.

 

Go to Schucks, NAPA, Carquest, W/e you have around you and get a Chiltons manual for like $20. Then jump TE1 and E1, turn the ignition to "ON" but don't start it, count the flashes and see what you got.

Or you can post up what you got and we can help. I have a Chiltons sitting right next to me now. Just post what flashes you got.

 

Ok, well it is code 71, EGR, glad it isn't something bad. whew. I can handle an EGR code. I think I am overly nervous cause i just rebuilt the top end of it. I have faith in my work and I did everything correctly, so we should be good. I just had the fear of imminent disaster when I saw the CEL come on.
