I like the exhaust, if it sounds anything like the Nissan Armada I would get it, I don't really like the look of the dual exhaust and it is really only for looks, you can have a single outlet with the same performance right and I like that muffler

I look forward to a sound clip

I would like to see that grille guard at more angles but it's to much chrome and it makes the truck stand out plus it's more to clean.

I got to start making my truck different, I want the SC

Chris,

If you can get the Battlez you should be able to get the TRD exhaust as well and I like the looks of the TRD better than the Battlez.

I can also attest to the performance and sound of the TRD and not the the Battlez. I'm completely satisfied with the TRD exhaust.

EDGE,

This is the one I have that I think Jason B can get as well as the Battlez:

Man, how do you go about ordering that TRD or (JAOS) Battlez exhaust? I have searched high and low and can't seem to find a dealer.

Does anybody know how that grill guard is mounted? If it is the same as the Westin, how do you keep it from moving side to side?

I like the looks of the of the battle and the trd. They both look kinda like the little canon mufflers for civics or imports. I saw a 96 97 landcruser with dual mufflers like those that kinda look like a little civic canon. I was wondering why not just get a ricer muffler that is small like both pictured and just get some one to install them. I did that on my integra like 4 years ago and I think it only cost me around $130 installed. I have been seeing those little mufflers at pepboys for like $75. What do you guys think dual little canons would look like on each side of the towing package on a 1999 limited 4x4. I think if they where small enough it would look very good. I just DONT want my runner to start looking like the advanced auto poster child rice runner

I sell the Jaos/Battlez exhaust for the 2003 4Runner. This exhaust is imported from Japan and is specifially made to fit the 2003 4runner, all stainless steel.

The FULL (2 part) SYSTEM will run about $999 for everything. That will include EVERYTHING from the catback with a high flow CENTER PIPE/section, technically called the B pipe. This system will give the most power gain.

If you want to save some money, you can go with just the end section, which is the muffler with the piping that mounts at the end of the stock center pipe, for $499 at the moment. (Seen in pics above)

Does the "end section" utilizes the OEM resonator...

If you mean that the rear section of the JAOS Exh can be used with the Factory center/mid pipe? The answer is yes to this question.

The 2nd picture shows the rear section of the exhaust and it connects to the factory center pipe with a matching flange.

Yes you will have performance increase by adding just the rear section. But to achieve the maximum gain will be with the B-pipe.

http://www.jaos.co.jp/prdcts_img/5/527050.jpg rear section

http://www.jaos.co.jp/prdcts_img/5/528040.jpg the B pipe

The mandrel bent piping is larger and smoother than the stock unit, and the straight-though design of the rear muffler from JAOS will minimize the back-pressure of the overall exhaust system. Thus in-turn, enhanced air flow (better mid-high end power output).

Yes, if the muffler wasn't designed for your vehcile and engine, that could happen.
