85 4runner fuel pump

85 4runner fuel pump

i can get the pump to work with the test plug but when you turn the key it dont come on. tried different ecu still nothing any suggestions.

have you tried the fuel pump relay?

The fuel pump doesn't normally run with the key on, unless you have the test jumper installed:

Only way it runs is if the AFM vane is held open. Test that AFM and if that is OK, then check the circuit opening relay (there is no fuel pump relay, per se).

what is a cor. i checked relay it is efi. it dont even kick on to pressurize the system.

thanks for the help. got it figured out. feel kind of dumb didnt have tank in truck ran ground to it and started working.
