Which Brembo rotors?

So i need to do a front brake job 2004 tacoma. After searching here i have decided on brembo for rotors.

Head out to the local world wide web and do some searching to order. Found some on the tire rack and various other sites.

Brings me to my question. From searching here i was under the impression that the brembos were slotted or drilled or something.....what i find everywhere is just a basic looking rotor. Have i not found the fabled brembo rotor spoken so highly of in this forum? Or did i misunderstand? Un-slotted/drilled is fine with me....or did i just find their regular model?

Couldn't find "tacoma" listed on the brembo site?
Any suggestions?
thanks
RC

Brembos are regular rotors, unless you order drilled and slotted.

Drilled or slotted does nothing, I dunno why people bother. If they worked so great wouldnt nascar use them.

sorry, but nascar is not the "end all to technology", they use push rod v8 engines and build cages that weigh a ton. If you want validation of performance of parts look at formula one where manufacturers like bmw, ferrari, and mclauren race not ford and chevy.

slotted and drilled rotors disepate heat faster therefore less chance of warping and also disapate water faster during wet weather conditions therefore stopping better and eliminating grab.

So explain to me why guys who are going 120mph+ wouldnt take advantage of them then?

We gain nothing buy using them on our trucks anyways, they arent fast and they dont need such things.

why would they not take advantage of lots of things beginning with not using motor technology from the 1950's? pls, don't get me started about nascar, we might as well talk about pro wresting.

esp on road courses and small tracks. they stay on the brakes. heck you even see them glo they get so hot.. they dont use slotted rotors and such. and you are right, WE do not need such brakes so save the $$ and get the blanks

right we don't need them, otherwise toyota engineers would have put them on stock from the factory but there are not negative effects if someone wants them, only positive so if someone wants to upgrade....why not? its like putting on nicer wiper blades or better headlight bulbs, do we need them? no, is it nicer to have? besides the fact that the engineers did not deem it necessary obviously to instal better rotors then they did, they also have to think about keeping the cost down. as you notices slotted/drilled rotors cost more....and so do cars/trucks that come oem with them.

The reason I say we dont need them is our trucks will not generate the heat and speed to take advantage of them. So basically your wasting your money on them.

I could understand brighter lights to see, better tires to grip. But like I said, unless you ride the brakes all day long (and I mean have your foot on them while driving all over like some people do) you dont need them.

I used to race auto-x, I have done drag, I have done road courses, etc, etc. No one uses slotted/drilled rotors. If you wanna spend the extra cash on them, be my guest. Not like you will gain anything from them, what one would gain in terms of brake performance would be to upgrade the lines, calipers and use better brake pads.

Now..
