Removing motor

I am swapping motors this weekend, my only question is, will I have any problem with the oil pan hitting anything as I lift it out? Will I have too remove anything else on the bottom in order to get it out? Any suggestions are appreciated...

Nope the motor will lift right out once you unbolt any wires, hoses, etc going to it and unbolt it from the tranny and motor mounts. It's not a hard job; it's just time consuming. I swapped mine in March. With my dad helping we had it done in two Saturdays.

a quick NOOB question... you mount the cherry picker chain on the hooks on the top of the motor right? you dont use any threaded holes?

Yeah use the 2 hooks on the head. No need to thread any other bolts into the engine. It actually balances itself pretty well using the 2 hooks. Our picker has a load balancer and we didn't even need to use it.
