My truck on Google Maps street view

Anybody else see their rig on Google Map's street view? It finally made it's way from the big cities out to where I live. I happened to not be driving my truck this day so it got in the picture. Here is a screen shot:

Pretty cool

I saw where Google is being sued over that street level stuff because of invasion of privacy.

Luckily I must have been at school, and the wife's car was in the garage when they came by. I can tell it was a Tuesday morning since the trash cans are on the curb . It's still pretty darn cool though.

Yeah I don't understand what the usefullness of it is. It's more of a gimmick than anything. I wonder what the people that are in it think lol.

It's only available if someone has driven in your area with the camera on top of their car. I was very surprised to see it had made it out to my area. My town is only 2000 people. They even got my parent's house on there and their town is only 500 lol.

It's pretty gimmicky, yeah, but some folks really need to see a house like they would see it from their car window to actually find it. I tend to be a little more spatially aware, and prefer good old USGS topo maps to photos .

They (Google maps) are still working on it. They started in large cities, and have been moving down the list for quite a while now. I actually saw one of their cars driving around campus here in Albuquerque the other day. pretty funny seeing a VW beetle with a goofy camera pod on top cruising by at "drive-by" speeds.
