Lost Screws

So by the worst decision I ever made in my life involving the runner, I had Best Buy install my head unit (free install). Few months later i realize something's loose. You know that pocket under the radio opening? It's got 2 screws one on each side. Both of mine are missing. I really want ones that look exactly like the ones I lost. If anyone can point me in the right direction or have some they can spare, I'd appreciate it. (I can get obsessive about these details.) If needed I can post up some pictures tomorrow to show what I'm talking about.

I've got a 2nd gen.

oh well I'm gonna def take a look around, but I would prefer to have it looking the same as it did before. Having something to hold it in place isn't the problem.. It's aesthetics...

Guys,

Parts sheet, parts sheet, parts sheet!!! I can't tell you guys how many times I've said this but get on ebay, look for a seller and find your parts sheet. If they don't have it, message a seller and I'm sure they'll locate it for you. Cost around $10 delivered. This would never even be a question for me as I have the sheets for my 3rd gen.

btw I do have the same screws in other places so I could compare when i go looking. I just want it to be exactly the same (my girl says I'm obsessive when it comes to the 4runner). I guess i could settle for normal black ones.... nobody will notice but me... but who else cares as much?

Scruff,

You could buy one of those thread pitch measuring things at the hardware store, which reminds me...I gotta buy one of those! Take the same screw that you have in your 4runner and then measure or have the hardware guy do it for you.

Or, just take it to the Toy dealer and do some explaining where and what screws you need.

AND BUY A PARTS SHEET! Trust me, you won't regret it.

Im sure you have considered the dealership? Are they unable to get them? I imagine they would run you the equivalent to pocket change.

You could go to Best Buy and explain the problem. Then tell the manager you're going to go to the dealership buy the screws, and bring the bill over to him. Just an idea.

If there's a junkyard nearby maybe you could find a toyota and pick up some screws. *FREE*
