1998 4Runner 2.7L Code Reading?

CEL just came on. Engine runs pretty good, idle is a bit rough at 700rpm.

How do I test codes on this? Can I jumper pins like my 89, or do I need a reader?

If I can just jumper the pins, Where can I find a listing of the codes. I couldn't find it in a search, here or TTORA.

Yup, look for the 0BDII connector under the dash. All 96+ vehicles in north america are OBDII.

You can buy an OBDII code reader from MAC Tools for around $60.
