will my truck last threw duck hunting

well early goose season is starting up on sept 8th for a week (19 days (im not counting)..) My truck will be LOADED down ill be hauling my 14' smokercraft with a 15hp merc. Plus 2 dogs guns and decoys..... The poor truck will be strugling any good tips to keep my motor from going? Oil change? any thing helps... any one else getin ready for the season?????

if it needs some attention, give it what it needs. new transmission fluid and filter might not hurt... if it burns oil, a set of spark plugs might keep you from getting stranded...

Make sure you got plenty of oil, and gas.....and ammo.

fresh anti freeze, fresh oil.
check your diff levels..

carry extra coolant and oil just incase!

Get a $70 set of air shocks to help level out the load in the rear.

well i changed the oil tonight (made a mess of the garage floor)
slaped a new air filter in
no need for new shocks i put 2in lift blocks in the rear
my truck does pretty crappy towin the boat so i cant wait to see how bad its gonna suck when its loaded down

The air shocks will level the truck out when loaded. You add air to them and it will bring the truck up. You say your going to throw a bunch of junk in the back of the truck and tow a boat. Your rig will be squatting pretty good in the back. Put the air shocks on and you can get rid of the sag.

And with all that weight back there, running blocks is BAAAAD. BAAAAAAAAAD I tell you. I had a set and they BOTH split down the middle. Tilted the pinion up, ripped the drive shaft out of the truck, and the axle was cocked to the side since there was now a 2" gap between the ubolts and the axle. It bent the entire drive shaft so I had to replace it. That was without towing anything.
