94 4Runner problems after suspension lift

hey guys and gals, i posted this on the other forum, folks over there refered me here for some kindly advices.

94 4Runner 4WD, 3.0V6, 5spd. appox. 130k miles. over this weekend i had a shop putting in a pair of OME N72F shocks and FJ80 rear coil springs.

the result is ok, truck runs great and pretty straight, it lifted the rear about 4 inches ( i only wanted 2 inches). but i found a new problem after the lift, looks like the upper body is shiftted to the left a little bit, see the picture

couple guys said the problem is on the panhard bar, which i have no clue what the heck is going on. it'd be appreciated if you folks can point me to the right direction to solve this.

p.s. the shop is NOT a 4x4 specialty shop, just a regular repair place, which always does a good job for me. i'm planning on bringing it back to the shop on the weekend let them check it out, but before i do that, i'd like to hear you experts here so i can give them a hint or two.

thanks.

You didnt do your homework before throwing on a set of LC coils. The Panhard is the big bar that runs along the rear axle. If you only wanted a couple inches of lift you could've gone with a set of OME's. The option you have now is an adjustable Panhard bar from Sonoran steel $200. I'm unsure if there may be a bracket for your year? This evens out the rear end. And keeps it from bouncing all over the road when you hit a bump. If you go to http://www.sonoransteel.com/ there's all kinds of info regarding this. Good luck.

Yes, this is what your problem is, you changed the geometry of the rear suspension and your OEM Panhard bar is pulling your frame to the left or pulling your axle right, however you want to look at it.

Also, from what I've heard, your LC coils will settle a bit to about 3" of lift so wait and see, but if you want only 2" then go with the OME's.

i have this same problem. i went with the ome shocks and ome 901 coils. about 2-3 inches of lift, including the corected mega-sag. the coils are great and a panhard relocation bracket will correct your body offset.

you can get one from 4crawler.com

I called Steve at Sonoran Steel, very nice guy, by the way. he recommended the Pro Comp traction bar bracket, therefore i can keep the factory traction bar. unforturently, Sonoran Steel does not make adjustable traction bars for 2nd gen. 4Runners.

what do you guys think abou this? $32.99 at Summit Racing.
