It sounds simple, but did you fill the master cylinder?? They are pretty hearty on the fluid.

My 99 runner is very sensitive to the brake fluid level. If it dips even a tiny bit under the full line, my e-brake light will not turn off. All I have to do is fill it to the "full" line on the brake resevior, pump the brakes a few times and the light turns off.

yeah i thought that was it.

i pushed the button and even unplugged it.

it still stayed on.

it was probably an issue with the brake fluid level.

how is your flowmaster 50?

i have the 40 and its LOUD.

i was going to put a resonator on it to tone it down a bit.

is the 50 loud in the cabin because the drone on the 40 is crazy.

it might be the fluid level.

but there might be some tension from the lift on the e-brake. like SS's e-brake relocation bracket relieves tension off the brake after a lift is applied..... and i think you said you had LC coil's so you musta gotten a considerable amount of lift that could affect it.

The 50 series I have sounds pretty good I think...its a little more mellow but still sounds mean. In the cabin you can hear it a little bit but not bad at all (and thats with the stereo off). I had a 40 on my 94 4runner and the 50 is for sure quiter in the cabin. I would definetly recomend a 50 series!! I dont know how much quiter the resenator will do for your 40 as far as sound in the cabin. If you dont like the 40 I would just go with the 50 I love mine!
