lets talk about injector cleaning companies

short and sweet....

my number 3 injector quit working. no fuel in that cylinder.

I want to have my injectors cleaned, etc, but there are many different companies that do this.

Which ones are good? cheap? fast?

so far i may go with Witchhunter.

Lets talk about all of these options/companies.

Is your older toy running bad. If so, try getting the injectors cleaned.

witchhunter is cheapest. I just mailed my injectors to them yesterday. I've heard no difference between companies except for price. I do know witchhunter replaces the o-rings; don't know if the others do that or not.

I shopped around and witchhunter seems to have the best price except for http://www.affordable-fuel-injection...r-cleaning.htm

I also emailed witchhunter and all their techs are engineers and stuff, so there's no dummies working there... I have a couple sets on their way to witchunter right now too.

I used WitchHunter back in December when I had everything apart for my headgasket replacement. They are very fast and reasonably priced.

I cant help with good company, but my last experience with this is if the injectors are internaly damaged, they will remain damaged even if you clean them 10 000 times. that you cant tell until someone clean them properly and then check if they leak.
I had water contamination in my truck (rusted tank) and i often let the truck in the back yard for all summer. Once i started it, all injectors were spraying mad or leaking. One was stuck closed and finally opened. I sent them to be cleaned and checked to the local diesel guy. The guy told me they were ok. In fact, there were not. They spray ok but since some rust went in, they are damaged inside, the pintle or the seat is no more perfect. They will leak forever. There is nothing better than new one believe me.
Just my share.

witchhunter doesn't just clean them. He flow tests them, which should detect internal failures.

Price is great.

I used Witchhunter just recently. Quick to email, quick to service, quick to return the injectors. I have't started the motor yet (3.4 conversion under way), but I have one less item to think about when bug chasing the conversion.

See this thread for details.

I had mime serviced at R.C. Engeering and the turn around was 3 days. They were flowed before cleaning and after to see the improvement. I would choose whoever is closest to save on shipping.

I used Rich @ Cruzin for my cleaning when I did my HG. He also flow tests before and after, replaces orings, end caps, screens. They looked like a work of art when I got them back, gorgeous.

He also gives you link to a web page that displays before/after stats for the injectors, like flow rates, etc.

But I've heard good things about Witchdoctor and RC, also. Picking one that is closest/least expensive shipping, might be the best bet.

Gordon (WitchHunter) has the tools and the knowledge to disassemble injectors and actually repair them. Though, depending on the injector, it may be cheaper to buy a new one.

I've had 5 sets of injectors through him now... Great guy.
