"How to" videos

This section as you know by now is for the safe operation of your rig while taking it off road.

Whether how to use a Hi-Lift jack properly, (keep the hand holding the jack out of the handles way in case the handle slips) using a winch safely, to using recovery straps.

If you have any safety tips or vids, post 'em up here in this thread.

I am a safety focal at work over the crew I support, so safety is always at the forefront of my mind.

I have a YouTube account for the forum here that I can host vids at if you can get them to me, or if you have a YouTube account to host them at that would be great too.

I have a copy of Bill Burke's "Getting UNStuck". It's pretty good - goes over the equipment, how to use a recovery strap, winching with the HiLift, using an electric winch, and some other things. A little slow, but great info.

I too have the DVD.
I dig it.
You might say that is what inspired this.

This doesn't qualify as "safe", but it is an improvised way to "seat the bead" (of your tire) while offroad.

http://www.break.com/index/interesti...ir-method.html

I did this in the military with 4000lb multiterrain forklift tires. These bigger balloon tires don't play nice when you try to get the bead started with traditional hook-up-the-air-compressor method.
