Front Suspension beef-up question - 2WD
I want to stiffen-up the suspension on my '94 2WD pickup. Are the stock torsion rods adjustable? Anyone make stiffer replacements? Will air shocks or similar help out? It's a long story but I'm adding weight to the front end and need more spring capacity.
TIA

Search around, but yes, you can crank them to dial in more preload or replace with stiffer ones. Another solution would be to install ball joint spacers, which will give you a little more height without increasing the spring rate, so the extra weight will pull it back down to level and you'll still have a comfy ride.

There are several producers of after market tbars. Downey, Sway Away, OME (At least for 4x4), and I think Rancho.Cranking your bars will not stiffen the suspension, it will give you more uptravel and you will probably ride the bumpstops more. Torsion bars are the only way to change the actual stiffness.
