Aisin Hubs
I Was Just Installing A Set Of Aisin Hubs On My 90 4runner With Add And Was Going By The Install Tread That Was Forwarded To Me About The Install And All Was Going Well Untill I Tryed To See If They Were Installed Correctily. According To The Tread It States That Once Installed I Should Put Them In Lock And Raise One Side And Spin The Wheel And Check To See If The Driveline Spins Well Driveline Is Not Spinning But The Axel Spins Then When I Go To Unlock The Axel Stops Spinning Can Someone Please Tell Me If There Was A Miss Print Or If The Driveline Should Spin Not Just The Axel?
Thanks For Any Help

man that paragraph is trippin me out
https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech...etal22lica.htm
here is an quote from that writeup "To check for proper disengagement, dial the lifted wheel to FREE and spin the lifted wheel. If the driveline does not turn and no ratcheting sound is heard, the hub is disengaging properly.
Repeat these steps for the right wheel and hub. "
I think you have them installed right, just read some really retarded instructions

If you take a few pics of the install people here might be able to help you out. Did you make sure to put in the inner hub bolt? It's a little 12mm thing you have to torque down with a hammer.
Basically if you jack up a wheel, when the hubs are unlocked you should be able to turn the wheel freely and the CV axle should not spin at all. When the hubs are locked, the CV should turn with the wheel.

Why All The Capital Letters???? its driving me crazy reading your posts like that. Axel spin is what you are looking for. in lock it should spin, which it does, in free it shouldnt. there ya go. thats how mine work.

to much work
just installed mine, and man your over thinking this. with all 4 wheels on the ground, put hubs in free, reach behind the front wheel, grab the cv (axle w/ boot on both ends) and turn it. if it turns freely you installed them right.
when driving first thing i noticed was a speck easyer to turn the steering wheel and i coasted a lot further when i took my foot off the gas.
hope this helps
