bumper ideas

well as christmas came and went i now have everythign to make my new rear bumper (except steel and ideas) and possibly make a few extras to sell for my 87 runner. I really am sort on ideas. I realize that many aspects of good bumpers have already been discovered and i dont just want to copy someone elses design. Peopel make livings designign this stuff so i feel that if there is any possibility ii might sell a few of whatever icome up with i want it to be original stuff.

i am looking for ideas that peopel have because i am pretty sure that alot of peopel who buy bumpers can say i wish it had this.. or that...just little things that would make a good bumper even better.

If people wanna post up ideas a can draw them up on Rhino (like cad) real fast so peopel can get a good visual of them or what it would come out like.

just look around at current bumpers and compile good ideas from them all. take one thing you like about one bumper and combine that with one thing you like about another and so on and pretty soon you have a bumper with proven design aspects of it but tis still your unique bumper and is built to your liking.

yep thats what i am working on. I think i am making a tube bumper with single main tube and the tube rear quarter protectors. I am gonna fill the whoel in the rear quuarter protectors with some plate and make some kind of skid underneath the reciver becuase where i am at there is alot of ledges and the ground is really soft dirt so anythign will dig and snag you up if its not smooth

BruceTS, Good Times, and Calrockx have totally custom rear bumpers that sound like what you're looking for. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...BruceTS+bumper

BruceTS fabbed up the original one.
