2MB video of Scofco showing off his lights in the snow.

I was driving back from where a friend of mine is stuck, as some of you may have read in another thread.

Minutes before this was shot a stumbled across a wolf and was sad I didn't catch it on film, so I decided to grab the camera and film incase I saw another one. I ended up taking about 5 minutes of video, but here is a clip of me playing with my lights.

When I was looking into purchasing my lights, I couldn't find any photos or videos of the difference it makes. Here is a video for anyone else that cares.

Two Hella 500 driving on the roof, two Hella 500 fogs on the bumper and Silverstar sealed beams. Well, at least one of them is a Silverstar, I think they are mismatched actually. The fogs also have some Eurolight 'blue' light bulb in them as I was experimenting with those also.

My second most favorite thing to do in snow is driving, skiiiing numma 1.

Those lights you had in the rear window do they cause any burning? I fried the defroster elements on an old bronco with a pair of lights mounted like that.

They don't put out much heat at all. They are a good 2 inches away from the window, and I only have them on when the window is down. Unless I'm using them to read while camping, in that case they flip up to point down inside the back.

I'm sure seeing your melted defroster elements must have given you quite a shock

Do you think that the hella 1000 series and 4000 series lights are worth the extra coin over just say a set of 500's like you have?

" Uggh "

getting out is such a chore

Nice video! I wasn't able to find ANY video demonstrations of lights, period, I was able to find some photos, but nothing too spectacular either. TTORA has a nice review with photographs concerning what a difference aux lighting makes, I think they were IPF 968's though.

I figure when I make my way out to AK I'll post an extensive photo/video review of what Hella 550 fogs and Lightforce 170's can do to the dark
